Marie-France Garon, Ost.

Osteopath and Pilates Instructor

My practice brings together osteopathy, movement, and somatic education. I work with each person individually, taking into account their history, daily activities, and the way their body moves and adapts.

My background in contemporary dance has deeply influenced how I observe the body. It has taught me to see movement not only as something to assess, but also as a way to explore, understand, and discover new possibilities.

Movement at the Heart of My Approach

I don’t aim to impose an ideal posture or way of moving. Instead, I’m interested in the strategies the body uses, the adaptations it has developed, and the possibilities that can be explored.

In both osteopathy and Pilates, movement is part of how I observe and guide each person. It offers a way to explore mobility, control, and the relationships between the body’s different systems.

Osteopathy and Pilates are two distinct yet complementary approaches in my practice. Hands-on treatment allows me to explore the body’s mobility and areas of tension, while movement creates opportunities to develop new strategies and progressively build strength, control, and ease.

Depending on each person’s needs, these two approaches may remain separate or complement one another.
